Episode 11 - Final 8

Get your thoughts off of Skype and into here pls.

So Rachel vs Sem is gonna be a thing of bitchiness this round icon_chaos

I feel like they have to (and Vytas is already making noises to) break up the Marissa/Ibe/Rachel bloc next. Great news for Coby and Shawn and the game too because it'd be so fractured come F7. I asked Ibe about voting blocs and he mentioned the other two but didn't include himself. Err, everyone else considers that a trio Ibe, srry. Bad news for Rachel considering the talismans.

idk if Coby realises how crucial that immunity was tonight. Poor Ralph took the fall for him. I hate to say it about any player, but I wish it had been Shawn instead :| Ralph coulda made waves, but idk if Shawn is capable of that? He is just not bringing his A-game here and kind of serves no purpose. I hope he's not the lock for finals I fear he is. Right now, he just can't win, no matter who. Maybe he does some big things between now and then but I can't see it. he does continue to deliver for my own personal endless amusement at him proclaiming every challenge a walkover and then not impressing in any;

The one thing here is he may go with the trio and force rocks since Cochran & Sem just voted him. So promise there of adding to the excitement maybe? And that then might bring Coby's intentions into question.

People in the best spots to win right now most are Vytas, Ibe & Coby I think? Marissa would win it if she makes the end but I can't see her being allowed to for six whole more rounds. Ibe is a similar story but less visibly so. Vytas gives himself less credit than he should. F8 with an idol and having successfully shrunk his target is a good place to be. He is kinda walking a line between UTR and not gonna be credited control so he just needs to stay a tiny bit the correct side of that.

Kudos to Coby, clutch immunity win has him not exactly in the drivers seat, but in the passenger seat of a few cars. Plus his rant the other night made him seem more crazy than he is. Now that the target for it has passed, he can manuver back to a good spot before people start to consider him a Jury threat.

Semhar is in a better spot than she thinks but she's going a bit stir crazy and I think might do something irredeemable soon if she's not careful.

Cochran? I just don't know any more. The Jury make-up and his opponent would be crucial. And the Jury so far hasn't really got much respect for him except for Ralph.

Rachel & Shawn. Sorry I can't see it for either unless it's against each other. Rachel's game isn't all that bad, but try telling the rest of the cast that.

So it's a weirdly quiet day considering it's Final Eight and there's two talismans and potentially two idols still in the mix and an immunity up for grabs. Yet there's a weird lack of scrambling and also not too much confessional activity. That makes it a little hard to tell what's going to happen since 50% of PMs are reading between the lines. I guess I'll do a player run-through.

Vytas is the man with the plan right now. Pushing Marissa's name hardcore and lying to people to get it done. To Sem;
marissa said you're plan b if coby wins immunity.
please please please convince shawn and coby to join us. i`ll log in as much as i can.

but he's also not around too much today, travelling or some shit, so idk if he can get it done when Cochran's not really understanding the importance of that and Coby has other plans.

If Marissa plays her talisman then they'd still break up that trio via Rachel

Also he still has that idol. He says he's gonna play it but once again, his name just isn't coming up anywhere so there's really no need. if he does, he will rue it very soon.

Sem is into that plan too. And may have gotten Shawn on-board? This would be good for both their games, and I'd bet Sem would prefer to see the back of Rachel since those two are just never gonna work. See the PMs thread for their current hot hot scrap.

I think I am enjoying Sem the most right now. She has a good chance to win without being predictably dominant. She is far from dull and I'm never quite sure what she's gonna try, or whether it'll work out for her so I'm very interested in all her moves. Lol at all that drama last night when essentially, the other five had already long sealed the vote on Ralph icon_laughing

Shawn himself seems into it in PMs, but less so in confessional. THANK GOD his other game is finished and maybe we'll start seeing some good things from him here, because right now, he's such a goat. I kinda feel like if he makes it past tonight he is a lock for F2 and second place :/ At least he is aware of his goatiness, but grief, he is so unaware of some other things - like thinking going to the end with Marissa is wise in any way shape or form? Please gurl, it'll be a whitewash

If I want to win, I have to bring someone that I know I have a fighting chance, that's where Semhar comes in. I don't see her as a mastermind type compared to others like Cochran, Ibrehem, and even Marissa. I even asked Cochran to have a F3 alliance with me and her. I'm gambling that it could be a F2 instead of F3, if it's a F3 I could bring in Marissa instead of Cochran. She trusts me the most and she's on board with my plan to get Rachel out.

Marissa is sitting pretty with her talisman. She needs to play it, or I think they'll round on her tonight. Or win immunity w/e. Everyone knows they can't go deep with her and her HBIC is starting to show. Even Cochran is lolling in private about her telling him how she'd lose to him at the end icon_lol The question with her is more, how long do people risk keeping her in? I think at this point she has an F2 with probably every remaining player so it's always gonna be tempting to keep her "just one more round"..

Cochran is probably the most guilty of this (and many more flip-flop decisions). His logic right now is that "why break up the three this round when at F7 the four of us will simply have to!" icon_uhoh Wat? No. Do it now while you have the numbers and it's good for your game. Leave it till next round and it's knife-edge and it only takes one Coby in the pot to make it not ever happen.

He seems determined to do everything the hard way. Cool, winning ain't easy. But he's doing things the hard way and also not the winning way.

Coby is kinda a sucker for this trio too. I've not yet listened to his audio confessional but just a glance at length of PMs shows he is putting the most effort in with Marissa & Ibrehem. And who is pushing his name the hardest this round? Marissa ofc icon_uhoh Wake up Coby!

Rachel kinda wants to do Shawn before Coby so that is her saving grace right now. Also her fight with Sem is kinda lolsy. She might seriously go home tonight if the other two play their talismans (expected) and the other five actually all come together (not expected).

That just leaves Ibrehem. Who is working away gamebot style and probably in one of the better positions no matter which way the game goes. His experience is really showing. It's not too exciting to watch, but it's capable and strategical and a good game to play. The most interesting thing about Ibe to me right now is that he doesn't see that trio as a trio but rather the girls and himself separate. Which is not how the rest see it. But with that in mind could he be the 5 when Coby or Cochran backs out? I think he just might. But will anyone ask him since they all think it'd be suicide? Probably not. If it were me, I'd feel him out about it. If he's with you, well hey, another Marissa vote. If he's not, well meh, at least you spook both talismans out of the game and you can still boot Rachel.
